Comprehensive Terms & Conditions for Enclosed Car Transport
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern all bookings and services provided by Prestige Vehicle Logistics ("we", "us", "our"). By requesting a quote, confirming a booking, or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Services
1.1 We provide enclosed and other specialist vehicle transport services for prestige, classic, and performance vehicles within New Zealand.
1.2 All services are subject to availability, route planning, and scheduling requirements.
1.3 We reserve the right to refuse or cancel a booking where the vehicle or conditions present a risk to safety or equipment.
2. Quotes & Pricing
2.1 All quotes are based on the information you provide, including locations, vehicle details, access, and timing.
2.2 Quotes are valid for 14 days from the date of issue, unless otherwise stated.
2.3 Final pricing may change if the actual job differs from the details supplied at the time of quoting (for example, access issues, wait times, or incorrect vehicle information).
2.4 Any changes to the agreed service may result in additional charges.
2.5 We reserve the right to apply a reasonable fuel surcharge or price adjustment at any time if fuel prices or related operating costs increase due to factors beyond our control. Any such surcharge or adjustment will be communicated to you as soon as reasonably practicable and will apply to bookings not yet completed at the time of notice.
3. Bookings & Payment
3.1 A booking is confirmed once you accept our quote in writing (including email) and we acknowledge your acceptance.
3.2 We may require a deposit or full prepayment before transport, as advised at the time of booking.
3.3 Payment methods and due dates will be set out in your invoice or quote.
3.4 If payment is not received by the due date, we may suspend or cancel the service and/or apply reasonable late payment fees.
4. Customer Responsibilities
4.1 You are responsible for ensuring the vehicle is in a safe and roadworthy condition for loading and unloading, unless previously agreed otherwise.
4.2 You must remove all personal items and loose belongings from the vehicle before collection.
4.3 You must ensure there is safe and reasonable access for our transport equipment at the pickup and delivery locations.
4.4 You must provide accurate contact details and be available (or arrange an authorised representative) at the agreed collection and delivery times.
5. Vehicle Condition & Inspection
5.1 We will complete a visual inspection of your vehicle on pickup and, where practical, document its condition.
5.2 You are encouraged to review and confirm the documented condition at both pickup and delivery.
5.3 We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, hidden defects, or mechanical issues that are not visible or disclosed at the time of collection.
6. Liability & Insurance
6.1 We will take all reasonable care while your vehicle is in our possession.
6.2 Our liability is limited to the extent permitted by New Zealand law and any applicable carriage or consumer protection legislation.
6.3 You are responsible for maintaining your own comprehensive insurance for the vehicle during transport, unless we explicitly confirm alternative cover in writing.
6.4 We are not liable for loss of income, loss of use, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from delay, damage, or service interruption, except where required by law.
6.5 In the unfortunate event damage is sustained during our care, under New Zealand law we are obliged to cover any repairs under our carriers liability insurance to the sum of $2000
7. Delays & Cancellations
7.1 While we aim to meet all agreed timeframes, transport may be affected by traffic, weather, road closures, or other events beyond our control.
7.2 We will keep you informed of significant delays where reasonably possible.
7.3 If you need to cancel or change a booking, you must notify us as soon as possible.
7.4 Cancellation fees may apply, particularly where costs have already been incurred or where short notice means we cannot reallocate the booking.
8. Personal Property
8.1 We do not accept responsibility for personal items left inside the vehicle during transport.
8.2 Any such items are carried entirely at your own risk.
9. Privacy
9.1 We collect and use your personal information to provide quotes, manage bookings, and deliver our services.
9.2 We handle your information in line with New Zealand privacy laws and only share it with third parties where necessary to complete your booking or where required by law.
10. General
10.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
10.2 If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
10.3 We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force at the time of your booking will apply to that service.
